Strikes for Tykes—Saturday, Nov. 16
Put on your bowling shoes and join the Denver Bar’s Community Action Network at Strikes for Tykes—a bowling benefit for the Children’s Outreach Project. This event will take place Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elitch Lanes, located at 3826 Tennyson in Denver. Cost is $35 for adults, $15 for children (12 and under), and $150 to buy your own lane. Click here to RSVP.
Call for DBA Awards Nominees
The DBA Awards Committee needs your nomination for its annual awards: DBA Award of Merit, DBA Young Lawyer of the Year, DBA Volunteer of the Year, Judicial Excellence, Education in the Legal System and Outstanding Programs or Projects. You can complete and submit a nomination form online or send your nomination by email to Heather Clark. The committee will consider involvement with the DBA, community contributions outside the bar associations, career history and accomplishments. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, Jan. 31.
Yoga @ the Bar—Fridays at 7 a.m.
Join us on Fridays at the DBA offices from 7 to 8 a.m. for free yoga. The instructor will be there beginning at 6:45 a.m. for those that want to begin, or end, earlier. Below is a list of upcoming classes. RSVP to or call 303-860-1115, ext. 727, and tell us which Friday you will attend.
DBA Member Spinning Classes at the Downtown YMCA
Join us for weekly spinning classes at the downtown YMCA. The cost to attend is $10 and includes full use of the facilities for the day. Space in the class is limited, so RSVP early to secure your seat by clicking on a link below.

Continuing Legal Education
7th Annual Colorado Statewide ADR Conference—Thursday, Oct. 31
The conference will feature a keynote address by Bernard Mayer, Ph.D., and include sessions on civil unions and ADR, multi-generational and cross-cultural considerations, probate, and workplace and health care mediation. You will also learn hands-on skills, such as dealing with difficult people, preparing for mediation, and moving mediation forward. Register now for this outstanding program.

Flood Legal Relief—Volunteers Needed
The Joint Disaster Legal Services Task Force comprises the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Legal Services, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and several local bar associations. The Task Force, in conjunction with FEMA and the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, launched a website and helpline for victims of the floods.
