Call for DBA Awards Nominees
The DBA Awards Committee needs your nomination for its annual awards: DBA Award of Merit, DBA Young Lawyer of the Year, DBA Volunteer of the Year, Judicial Excellence, and Teacher of the Year. You can submit a brief nominating statement online or email Heather Clark. The committee will consider involvement with the DBA, community contributions outside the bar associations, and career history and accomplishments. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, Jan. 31.

Mandatory E-filing in Denver District Court Domestic Relations Cases Beginning Tuesday, Jan 1.
Denver District Court Chief Judge Robert S. Hyatt recently entered an order mandating that all district court domestic relations cases be e-filed beginning Jan. 1, through the Colorado Judicial Department’s Integrated Colorado Courts E-Filing System (ICCES). Pro se litigants do not have access to ICCES and will continue to file through the clerk’s office. A copy of Chief Judge Hyatt’s order has been posted here. 20th Annual Rothgerber Conference, “Public Constitutional Literacy”—Nov. 29–30
The White Center at the University of Colorado Law School is hosting its 20th Annual Rothgerber Conference. The event will begin Thursday evening with a keynote address on “Constitutional Literacy Outside the Courts” by Harvard law School Prof. Mark Tushnet, followed by a reception. On Friday, local lawyers and educators will moderate multiple panel discussions regarding constitutional literacy. CLE credits are available. Click here for event information and to register.
