Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to assist a client who is having a roofing repair problem. Contractor was to repair the roof in November 2010; the roof still hasn’t been repaired. Bench and Bar Retreat: Civil Access Pilot Project, Saturday, Nov. 19
The topic for this year's retreat will be the Civil Access Pilot Project in the District Courts: Limits on Discovery in Business Cases. After a brief presentation on the changes that will take effect in select district courts on Jan. 1, attendees will be split into discussion groups, which will include judges, to discuss these changes and broader topics on whether trials can be fair and effective with limited discovery. The retreat will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the DoubleTree Hotel in Westminster. Four CLE credits, including ethics, will be available. Click here for more information or to RSVP.

Learn everything you need to know about criminal and general sessions. Denver County Court Judges Armatas, Breese, Gonzalez, and Satter will provide a general overview and entertain your questions in the law library of the City and County Building beginning at noon. The Solo and Small Firm Section is pleased to host its annual Networking and Holiday Party on Dec. 12, beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the CBA-CLE offices, 1900 Grant St., Suite 300, in Denver. As in years past, wonderful door prizes will be given to attendees. Cost for section members is $5 for a holiday buffet luncheon and $10 for non-section members.
