Volunteer Opportunities
Be a Mentor, Make a Difference
The DBA Mentoring Program provides a unique opportunity for young or new lawyers to regularly meet and talk with a seasoned mentor who can assist in the decision-making process. Issues discussed include how to manage a practice, factors to consider when accepting a client, client communications, handling difficult clients or opposing counsel, and how to achieve work–life balances. The program is accepting applications for mentors and mentees. Applications are due by Nov. 15.
Judge Student Constitutional Presentations
Lawyers are needed to judge We the People Congressional Hearings. Available days and times: two Wednesdays in Denver at Skinner Middle School (3435 W. 40th Ave.), Oct. 26, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., and Nov. 3, from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m.; and Tues., Nov. 22, in Centennial at Cherry Creek Schools Instructional Support Facility (5416 S.
