*** Popular Document Shredding Party is back this Saturday
Bring up to 10 boxes per person to the Document Shredding Party on Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Benedict Fountain Park (north of the DBA offices on East 20th Avenue and Logan Street) in support of the DBA Community Action Network's School Supply Drive. Suggested donation is $2 per box or equivalent value in school supplies. Also, please have all documents removed from any three ring binders. *** CLE: Bankruptcy Law Hot Topics, Friday, June 11

*** CLE: Representing State Employees at the State Personnel Board, Tuesday, June 15
Certified state employees have the right of due process through the Colorado Constitution, as well as other rights provided by the Colorado State Personnel Board. This program will review what attorneys need to know about representing state employees regarding the right of due process, State Personnel Board Rules and other critical information.
*** Important Changes to Court Office Hours, effective Teusday, June 15
The office hours for Denver District Court and Denver Juvenile Court Clerk’s Offices as of Tuesday, June 15 will be Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to staff shortages over the last two years and the opening of the Criminal Clerk’s offices in the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse, the courts had to reduce the office hours. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause attorneys and their staffs.
*** ABA House of Delegates Representative vacancy
The delegate term of appointment is two years and begins in mid-August. Duties include attendance at the ABA Annual Meeting in August (two-day meeting); attendance at the ABA Mid-Year Meeting in February (two-day meeting); and attendance at selected Board of Trustees meetings. Expenses for travel and a per diem allowance are paid for by the DBA for the ABA meetings.
