*** Announcing the Battle of the Attorney Bands, Sept. 23!
Please join us for a fun and memorable night out while supporting a great cause! All proceeds will go to Children's Outreach Project, a certified nonprofit and vital community resource organization that has provided early childhood education to developmentally delayed and disadvantaged children in the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Who knew there were so many rock star attorneys in the Denver area?! We have 10 bands in contention to play at the event, so please help us decide which five bands should battle it out in the 2009 Battle of the Attorney Bands. Visit our event page to buy your tickets, donate to the cause, listen to music samples and vote for your favorites. Early bird ticket pricing and voting ends Aug. 31.
*** Pro Bono Spotlight
Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to assist a client in obtaining a title for the car she purchased. The client purchased a car in June 2008, finished paying for it in November 2008 and the seller still hasn’t transferred the title to the client. The client took her car to be repaired at the same place where she purchased it and it was stolen and stripped for parts. Now, the insurance company will not issue a check until she has the title. If you can assist this client, contact Patricia Trujillo at (303) 866-9307 or patt@denbar.org.
