***INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION HAPPY HOUR***
After volunteering for the YLD's Winter Festival, help yourself to a drink and a great international networking opportunity sponsored by the Institute of International Education (IIE).  On January 24, 2007, the IIE Denver office will host a group of young European leaders in Denver!  They will be hosting 11 visitors from 11 different European countries.  The countries include: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Macedonia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey.  The group includes two Parliamentarians, media executives, heads of policy-making organizations, political advisors and other professionals.  It’s a really outstanding group.  The event is currently scheduled for the lounge at the Curtis Hotel from 6-8pm.  This is a free event, where IIE will provide appetizers and a cash bar.

IIE manages several international exchange programs in Denver and worldwide including the Fulbright program. One of their signature programs is the International Visitor Leadership Program.  The International Visitor Leadership Program is sponsored by the United States Department of State. The program brings international professionals to the US to explore a particular topic and to connect with their American counterparts. Participants are typically in the US for approximately three weeks, and during that time, they travel to a few select US cities.
