*** DBA Recognizes the Generosity of its Volunteers
DBA’s Access to Justice Committee is planning a Volunteer Appreciation Reception to honor all of the hardworking, generous volunteers who benefit the Denver community. The reception is Thursday, Oct. 23 at Space Gallery in the Santa Fe Drive Art District. The committee seeks local law firms and businesses to sponsor this event to help celebrate volunteers. *** Bench-Bar Retreat — Plea from the Courts: Lighten Up!
Judges will speak with attorneys in a roundtable format about improving one’s quality of life as an attorney. The event is Saturday, Sept. 27, 8:30 a.m. – noon, at the Warwick Hotel, 1776 Grant St. This breakfast program will be submitted for two general and two ethics CLE credits. The DBA Lawyers’ Football League begins its 40th year Sunday, Sept. 7. The league welcomes lawyers and law students. Ten teams will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
