*** Most successful food drive!
A special thanks to all the generous firms that participated in the Roll Out the Barrels Food Drive last month. We are pleased to announce that we set a new record with $26,000 in total donations (food and cash) from 75 participating firms, up from $20,000 last year. Biggest donors in their categories: Orten, Cavanagh, Richmond & Holmes; Messner & Reeves; Isaacson Rosenbaum Woods and Levy; Wheeler Trigg Kennedy; Faegre & Benson; and Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert. Great job by all! For more information on the Community Action Network's drives and events, contact Heather Clark at hclark@cobar.org.

*** Family Law Basics: Triage for the Non-Family Attorney Volunteer
A fast-moving, entertaining presentation on the basics of family law is scheduled 3-5 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 at Mi Casa, 360 Acoma. Attorney-instructors Barbara Johnson-Stern, Elissa Bercovitz and Margaret Walker will prepare volunteer attorneys to handle basic questions from the public and know when a question requires expertise. Two CLE credits. RSVP to lunches@cobar.org or call (303) 860-1115, ext. 727. No cost.

*** Pro se instructors needed for popular Small Claims and Collections clinics
The DBA Public Legal Education Department needs instructors for both the Small Claims and the Collection pro se clinics. The popular clinics are offered once a month, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Denver County Court Civil Division. Volunteer attorneys simply offer information on gathering information, filing forms, defending one's position and court procedures. These clinics are presented in cooperation with the Denver Courts Civil Division. For more info, e-mail Carolyn Gravit at cgravit@cobar.org

*** Smile! Calling all toothfairies...
The Community Action Network (CAN) of the Denver Bar Association is sponsoring the Sixth Annual Toothbrushes for Tots Drive, to benefit Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND). CAN is looking for Denver area law firms to sign up and participate in the drive, which runs June 23–27, by contacting Michelle B. Ferguson at (303) 628-3658 or mferguson@irelandstapleton.com. As the country’s oldest dental charity, founded in 1912, KIND helps meet the needs of underserved children. For more information, visit www.KINDsmiles.org. Click here for more information on the drive.
