*** Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND) Drive This Week!
In 2005, DBA attorneys donated more toothbrushes than any other group in this statewide drive. The DBA's Community Action Network (CAN) 2006 Toothbrush Drive is this week, Feb. 20 to Feb. 24 — you can still participate! Search your cabinets for new toothbrushes and waxed dental floss to donate to needy children during "Healthy Smiles Week." Click here for more info on how to donate or get your law firm set up.

*** Step Up! Volunteers Still Needed for Mock Trials
The CBA Public Legal Education Department is still seeking volunteers for its CBA State Mock Trial Tournament on Friday and Saturday, March 3–4. Needed: 30 scoring panelists and 18 magistrates or judges to preside. High school students from across the state will be in Denver to compete. Please register ASAP to receive volunteer materials, or contact Carolyn Ferber at (303) 824-5323 or cferber@cobar.org.

*** Free Money from Microsoft
If you have not yet received an e-mail “forward” telling you that Microsoft (and Bill Gates) will pay you hundreds of dollars for every person you send it to, you’ll probably come across it soon. And if you have received it, we hope you had the good sense to hit “delete.” However, if we find anyone in the future passing on these types of e-mails without first checking them out at www.snopes.com (or using the common sense you might have been born with) we will publicize your name AND forward it to Attorney Regulation, as there is a provision in the Rules of Professional Conduct to not be a blockhead — automatic 20-day time-out suspension and remedial training.

*** DU Recent Graduate Reunion and Hockey Night this Friday, Feb. 24
Catch up with your DU Law School classmates at this reception and hockey game. A chance to see the two-time NCAA-title champion Denver Pioneers take on the University of North Dakota! More info here. http://www.denbar.org/group/display.cfm?GenID=7711

*** Learn from Colorado's Leading Experts in Environmental Liability!
Introduce yourself to the liabilities that pollutants and contaminants pose in real estate transactions. In this CBA–CLE on Feb. 24, you will learn about the different types of environmental pollutants and contaminants; how to conduct environmental due diligence prior to entering into a real estate transaction; and what is required to be disclosed and to whom. Register online: Environmental Liability in Real Estate Transactions, Feb. 24, 2006.

*** Lessons from a Tyco Exec
The University of Denver’s next “Voices of Experience” program is Friday, March 10, 1–3 p.m., at the Daniels College of Business, 2101 S. University Blvd. Eric M. Pillmore, senior vice president of corporate governance for Tyco International, will speak on “Rebuilding Tyco's Culture: Lessons Learned, Vision Shared.” This program offers one ethics and one general CLE credit. Register here.

*** Work Out for Free
As a DBA member, you receive 10 percent off monthly membership fees at the YMCA. In addition, pay nothing until March 15 when you join as a new member at the downtown YMCA. Also, check out the new Triathlon Program which is FREE with a new membership! This is just one of many DBA Denver Deals. View the full list here.
