*** DBA Denver Deals: Discounts and Specials from Denver-area Merchants!
We will add more deals each week, so check the website for weekly and monthly specials — only for DBA Members!

*** DBA Attorneys Pull Through for Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND) Drive in 2005
Congrats! In 2005, DBA attorneys donated more toothbrushes than any other group in this statewide drive. The DBA’s Community Action Network (CAN) 2006 Toothbrush Drive is Feb. 20 to Feb. 24 — they need your support. Search your cabinets for new toothbrushes, unsweetened toothpaste and waxed dental floss to donate to needy children during “Healthy Smiles Week.” Click here for more info on how to donate or get your law firm set up.

*** Take a Look at Today’s Issues Surrounding School Safety
This CBA–CLE program focuses on the latest issues of school safety, such as violence, liability of schools, discipline and confidentiality. Register online: School Safety, Feb. 10, 2006.

*** February Coffee Talk Program Correction
The February Docket listed the Feb. 22 Coffee Talk Program as offering a CLE credit.  This will be a great program, but it will not offer a CLE credit. You will learn how attorneys in the Denver area got involved in the community, what it means to them, how it helps your career, and more. Speakers include Rico Munn, a partner at Baker & Hostetler who serves on the Colorado State Board of Education and in 2005 was recognized as one of Denver’s “40 Under 40” business and community leaders by the Denver Business Journal. There is no charge for those who bring items for the Kids in Need of Dentistry Drive! For more information, or to RSVP, e-mail mdilworth@cobar.org.

*** Flying Dog Brewery Tour
Join the DBA YLD at the Blake Street Tavern (2401 Blake St.) on Thursday, Feb. 16, 6–9 p.m., to enjoy a tour of the Flying Dog Brewery and beer tasting. There will be live music and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting "The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and Older People." Advance tickets are $25 and include a brewery tour, beer tasting, two draft beers and appetizers. E-mail lunches@cobar.org to RSVP or request tickets. For a flyer, go to Attorneys Night Out. Contact Alison Butler Daniels for further information at (303) 298-9878.

*** DU Recent Graduate Reunion and Hockey Night, Friday, Feb. 24
Catch up with your DU Law School classmates at this reception and hockey game. A chance to see the two-time NCAA-title champion Denver Pioneers take on the University of North Dakota! More info here

*** Get an Edge on Legal Marketing
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association’s monthly educational luncheon is Tuesday, Feb. 14, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., at the Denver Press Club, 1330 Glenarm Pl. Larry Holdren, a P.R. professional with Pure Brand Communications, and Don Knox, editor of Law Week Colorado, will offer insider tips about what the media look for in a law firm press release. Cost is $40 (with a $10 discount for LMA members), and includes lunch. To register, visit the “events” section of http://www.rockymountainlma.com.
