*** Juvenile Law: Fundamentals of D&N and Delinquency
Whether you are new to juvenile law, touching on these issues in your current practice area, or want a refresher, this program on May 10, 9 a.m.–4:45 p.m., will get you up-to-speed on important juvenile law basics. The morning will focus on dependency and neglect issues, including: investigation and petition; adjudication; disposition and treatment planning; permanency planning; termination of parental rights; and appeals. The afternoon will start with a look at truancy, and then will focus on delinquency issues, including: offenses, defenses, Social Services involvement, GAL involvement, sentencing options, mandatory sentencing, and youth charged as adult offenders.
