Real Estate Law Section
Monitors and reports on judicial, legislative and other developments that affect the practice of real estate law. The goal of the section is to promote, clarify and educate members concerning issues arising in Colorado real estate law. The section keeps its members informed through quarterly real estate newsletters, special columns in The Colorado Lawyer, and numerous legal education programs, including approximately six workshops per year, quarterly topical luncheons and an annual symposium that provides a unique opportunity to learn and to renew acquaintances with fellow real estate lawyers. All Colorado lawyers with an interest in real estate can benefit from joining this section.

Upcoming CLE Real Estate Programs
Members of the Real Estate Section Council and the Pitkin County Bar Association attended a jointly-sponsored CLE program in November.
The Real Estate Section encourages all aspiring authors to contribute articles (or even just ideas for articles) for publication in the real estate column of The Colorado Lawyer. Articles submitted need to provide a balanced discussion of new, developing or interesting areas relating to the practice of real estate law in Colorado or nationally. To encourage your creative energy, the Real Estate Section will honor the best real estate article published in The Colorado Lawyer during 2012/2013 with a stipend of $500 to the contributing author or firm. Articles should be submitted to Cindy Shearer at firstname.lastname@example.org or Erik Foster at email@example.com for consideration.
