Introducing Incoming DBA President-Elect—Nancy Cohen
The Denver Bar Association would like to introduce the new DBA President-elect, Nancy Cohen, who will begin her term as DBA President in July, 2016. As the co-founder of MiletichCohen PC, Cohen focuses her practice on the representation of lawyers and law firms in legal malpractice matters and grievance defense, and commercial litigation. Before forming MiletichCohen PC, Cohen was of counsel with the civil trial firm of Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP. She previously was the Chief Deputy Regulation Counsel for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel.

Attorney Discipline Cases Before the Presiding Disciplinary Judge—Thursday, May 28
The Denver Bar Association Young Lawyers Division invites all members to join them on Thursday, May 28, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the DBA offices for a one hour CLE program on attorney discipline cases before the Office of the Presiding Disciplinary Judge (PDJ). Judge Lucero will give an introduction to the PDJ, an overview of the disciplinary hearing system, and a discussion of other types of proceedings that come before the PDJ. There will also be an opportunity for a brief Q&A session with Judge Lucero. One general CLE credit applied for, and a continental breakfast included. Wheels of Justice Kickoff Party—Tuesday, June 2
Come celebrate the 10th anniversary year for the Wheels of Justice as they celebrate a “Decade of Justice”! Enjoy complimentary food and drink as you hear stories of hope and courage from patients, families, and doctors of Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. The event is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Denver Post building, 101 W. Colfax Ave. Public parking is available in the attached garage at 15th and Cleveland. Seniors’ Spring Banquet—Wednesday, June 3
Honor the DBA members who have been admitted to the bar for 50 years at the DBA Seniors’ Spring Banquet on Wednesday, June 3. The banquet will be held at the University Club, 1673 Sherman St. Drinks begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m., and the presentation of honorees at 7 p.m. Cost to attend is $50 and all are invited. Save the date for the annual Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, June 8, at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen. A buffet lunch will begin at 12 p.m. with a 1:15 p.m. shotgun to follow. There will be two formats as in years past: the Champions division or best ball, and the Challenge division or scramble.
