Denver Lawyers’ Arts and Literature Reception and DBA YLD Barristers After Hours—Thursday, Sept. 17
The arts contest winners and their works are featured in the September issue of The Docket. To thank all of the entrants and winners, a reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Mike Wright Gallery on Thursday, Sept. 17. All are invited to attend and enjoy complimentary drinks and appetizers, see and hear the winning works, mingle with the artists, and pick up a copy of the September issue of The Docket. Represent the First District of CBA
The Denver Bar Association seeks nominees to serve as Colorado Bar Association Vice President representing the First District (Denver). This is a one-year term beginning July 1, 2016 and will involve serving on the CBA Executive Council and Board of Governors. Nominations are due by Friday, Sept. 25. Constitution Day—September 17
Thanks to the twenty five DBA members who stepped into Denver Public School Classrooms for Constitution day. We wanted to show our appreciation by raffling off a gift card for one lucky volunteer. Stay tuned for Law Day volunteer opportunities in Denver Public Schools in 2016.

DBA YLD Hosts Law Suit Days—Oct. 7 & 8
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 8, the DBA Young Lawyers Division will accept donations of gently used professional clothing, shoes, and accessories on the steps of the Denver City and County Building. Clothing should be clean and on hangers. The DBA YLD unfortunately will not be able to pick up donations and is unable to accept donations on other dates. If the weather is bad, the donation site will be moved inside the City and County Building. For more information, please contact Chris Levkulich.
