Katayoun “Katy” Donnelly, an associate with Baker & Hostetler, LLP, will be recognized as a 2010 Temple Bar Scholar. Each year, the American Inns of Court selects four outstanding young U.S. lawyers as Temple Bar Scholars, and they participate in a one-month program designed to introduce them to the English legal system.
Donnelly focuses her practice at Baker Hostetler on complex commercial litigation.

The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) announces the election and appointment of new board members.

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced that the partnership has re-elected Chris Richardson to serve as the firm’s managing partner through Dec. 31, 2014. Richardson has been the firm’s chief executive and managing partner since 2002, and has served DGS clients for nearly 30 years.

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness is proud to announce that it recently expanded its board of directors to include Jordan Fox. Fox is member of Sherman & Howard LLC, where he focuses his practice on Family Law.

The Colorado Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals association was launched in October. It is pleased to recognize 16 Charter Members in Colorado, including a majority of the state’s best known civil and commercial mediators and arbitrators. The Executive Committee members are Judge Bill Meyer (Denver), Joe Epstein (Greenwood Village), and Steve Meyrich (Boulder). The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is a professional association whose membership is comprised of attorneys distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution, and by their commitment to methods of alternative dispute resolution.

John Sass recently was elected vice president of the National Academy of Arbitrators. The academy’s purposes are educational and fraternal. As a friend of the court, the academy has participated in appellate litigation in the United States and Canada, where major issues affecting the institution of arbitration are involved. It also works cooperatively with sister organizations such as government agencies, professional organizations, institutions, and learned societies in the field of labor-management and employment relations.

Burns, Figa & Will P.C. is pleased to announce Candace Cole Figa, a shareholder at the firm, has been appointed to serve on the Arapahoe County Ethics Committee as a representative for Arapahoe County Commissioner Nancy Sharpe. The committee advises the county commissioners on ethical issues relating to employees and elected officials.
Melissa Sugar has been appointed to the board of directors as public affairs chair for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

Horowitz & Burnett is pleased to announce that John Cardinal Parks has joined the firm as special counsel.
