This award, which is given by the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management, Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, is given to a professional woman in the real estate or construction industry who demonstrates the highest achievement in the industry, outstanding leadership, ethical standards, and character in her industry and community, as well as giving her time and resources to promote the talents and accomplishments of other women within the industry.
Ken Fellman of the Denver-based law firm Kissinger & Fellman P.C. received the Arvada Chamber of Commerce’s Pioneer Award on May 12. Joan McWilliams, principal of McWilliams Mediation Group, LTD, is pleased to announce the publication of her latest book “Parenting Plans For Families After Divorce”—a book that shows parents how to write an effective parenting plan that supports a healthy and sustainable post-divorce family. Penfield Tate, a shareholder in the Denver office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System by Gov. John Hickenlooper. Tate’s appointment will require confirmation of the state Senate.
Brian G. McConaty, a shareholder in the Denver-based firm, Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio, has been named President of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ Colorado Chapter and has been elected a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. McConaty’s practice emphasizes medical malpractice defense, health law, and civil and commercial litigation. Additionally, he is a Master Barrister with Doyle’s American Inn of Court and has been on faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine since 1988.
