Lorri Salyards of Moye White was awarded the Association of Legal Administrator’s Outstanding Volunteer Award.

Carla Scarpone, an associate at the Harris Law Firm, was elected board chair of the Denver Health Volunteer Association.

Perkins Coie announces that partner Karen Samuels Jones received the Brian Vogt Community Leader of the Year award, given by the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the Chamber and the South Metro Community at large.?

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell partner Julie Walker was appointed chair of the website/webcast committee of the DRI Women in the Law Section.

Tony King, director and shareholder of Minor & Brown, was elected president of the Denver Colorado Ethics in Business Alliance. 



Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons announces that partner Charles Goldberg was honored with the Civis Princeps (First Citizen) Award by Regis University. The firm also announces that Kristin M. Bronson was re-appointed to a second three-year term to the Colorado Real Estate Commission, and Trey Rogers was appointed to represent District 1 (City and County of Denver) on the Colorado Transportation Commission.

Snell & Wilmer announces that Partner Dan Wittenberg attained certification as a Global Regulatory Affairs Compliance Professional from the Center for Professional Innovation & Education.

Colorado Trial Lawyers Association announces Amanda Hall v. Colorado Department of Corrections, et al. as the Case of the Year. Attorneys representing Hall included Mari Newman, Rebecca Wallace, Althea Licht and Darold Killmer from Killmer, Lane & Newman.

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announces the appointment of shareholder Nancy Strelau to the Colorado AIDS Project Board of Directors. Strelau is a former CAP volunteer and will now continue her service as a board member.

Kerry L. Kester, a managing partner at Woods & Aitken who specializes in construction law, served as a lead editor and contributing author of The Design-Build Deskbook: A Blueprint for Design-Build Procurement Across the United States and Canada.

Robinson Waters & O’Dorisio added David J. Moses as a shareholder. He specializes in commercial leasing and loan documentation for national, regional and local financial institutions, including asset-based lenders, commercial banks, equipment leasing companies and aircraft finance companies.


Stephanie Rodeno joined Tucker Ellis & West as an associate. She is a member of the firm’s trial department and her practice focuses on medical and pharmaceutical liability.

Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis & Payne announces that Suzanne M. Leff and Stephane R. Dupont were named partners, and ?Kerry M. Colburn and Lindsay S. Smith joined the firm as associates. Their practices will continue to focus on representing homeowner associations in all aspects of community association law.

"Deadlines Are Us" is the sign that hangs on the door plate of Susie Klein’s Denver office. Showing an enormous amount of respect for his mother’s job as a legal editor with The Colorado Lawyer, Wilson Fischer Klein was born under the wire (at 11:04 p.m.) on his due date of April 11, 2010. He weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz. at birth, and was 20.5 inches.
