The Red Rock Scramble Run/Walk presented by the Colorado Indian Bar Association attracted 237 participants — the largest number ever and even included barefoot runners! More than 70 prizes were awarded to racers between the ages of 11 and 86. Once again, the buffalo stew, scenic course in Lyons, beautiful weather and friendly atmosphere brought smiles to everyone’s face. The final fundraiser tally has not happened yet, but it is estimated that approximately $5,000 was raised for two student scholarships — given to Native American law students attending the University of Denver and the University of Colorado.
