The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the largest specialty bar association in the state, announces the election of Natalie Brown to the position of president.

Neil M. Goff, a Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck shareholder, was named to the Global Down Syndrome Foundation Board


of Directors. The firm also announces that shareholder Carolynne C. White and associate Lori R. Baker



received the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional certification.





Berenbaum Weinshienk announces that Frank Porada, formerly of Featherstone Petrie DeSisto, joined the firm as a shareholder, specializing in commercial litigation. The firms also announce that Rebecca K. Atkins, formerly of Seyfarth Shaw, joined the firm as an associate in the employee benefits group.

Lambdin & Chaney announces that Gregg S. Rich is now a partner of the firm. He will continue to practice in the area of construction litigation.


Patton Boggs announces the hiring of Jeffrey Cohen, a municipal finance attorney and litigator.

Pendleton, Friedberg, Wilson & Hennessey announces that Richard H. Hill joined the firm as special counsel. Hill’s practice focuses on real estate transactions for both companies and individuals.

Richilano Shea, the civil and criminal law litigation boutique recently formed by


longtime Denver lawyers Kevin Shea and John Richilano, added Amber Abbuhl as an associate. She is 2005 graduate of DU Law where she was editor-in-chief of the DU Law Review and elected To the Order of St. Ives. Prior to law school, she practiced public accounting for 10 years. Most recently Abbuhl was an associate at Faegre & Benson.

Lyle A. Wallace and Timothy D. Scott formed Wallace Scott. The firm will be located on Larimer Square and will advise entrepreneurs, business owners and individuals on estate planning, tax and business law issues.

The local certified public accounting firm of Stark Winter Schenkein & Co. announces the


addition of Matthew P. Mueller to its staff.

Ruegsegger Simons Smith & Stern announces that Justen L. Miller has joined the firm as an associate.

The law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announces that Michelle L. Gomez joined the firm as an associate in its litigation group.

Paul W. Michaud, 53, died April 1. Michaud graduated from DU Law on Dec. 21, 1990. He previously worked as a nuclear engineer and most recently was in private practice as an oil and gas attorney.

The DBA is sad to announce the passing of a former employee and dear friend, Thi Tran. She worked in the marketing department and was 34 years old. Her energetic spirit and amazing artistic talents will be missed.
