David Goldberg
, a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig, was elected to the Mile High United Way Board of Trustees and the Board of Advisors for the Colorado Ethics in Business Alliance.

The National Association of Counsel for Children is pleased to announce Maureen Farrell Stevenson as new President/CEO.

Arvada attorney Paul J. Komyatte was named Colorado State Coordinator for the Public Justice Foundation, the Washington-based national organization known for championing public interest litigation across the country. 

Assistant Federal Public Defender Virginia L. Grady was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The Colorado Lawyers Committee awarded Arnold & Porter’s Denver Office with the 2008 "Law Firm of the Year Award" for the third consecutive year (and fourth time since 2002) at their 30th Annual Awards Celebration. This award recognizes the significant time and effort Arnold & Porter has spent on a number of critical pro bono projects in 2008. 



Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons is pleased to announce that associate Tamara F. Goodlette was elected to the Board of the Denver Court Appointed Special Advocates for a two-year term. The partners of Wheeler Trigg Kennedy voted to change the 11-year-old firm’s name to Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell. The nationally recognized litigation firm is chaired by Michael L. O’Donnell, one of the firm’s five founders, who becomes a named partner with this change. Two other founders, Malcolm Wheeler and Jack Trigg, remain active partners in the firm.

Chancellor Robert Coombe appointed DU Law Professor Martin J. Katz to the Sturm College of Law interim dean position. Katz joined DU Law as a faculty member in 2000. As the interim dean, he will begin immediately to lead the strategic planning process at the law school.

Isaacson Rosenbaum announced the election of a new chief executive officer, Lonny Donovan. Donovan has been with Isaacson Rosenbaum for more than 28 years and is taking the CEO position so that Jon Steeler, who has served as CEO for the last eight years, may turn his attention to legal services within his areas of expertise.

Ballard Spahr’s litigation presence was expanded by the hiring of David M. Stauss, who was formerly based in the firm’s New Jersey office.
