Seniors Embrace Holiday Spirit

The Seniors Committee celebrated the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 12 at the DBA offices. We had a great turnout with about 40 people. Attendees enjoyed a hot buffet and a Colorado history quiz that kept the seniors on their toes. The event concluded with a recap of what everyone was up to this past year and what they will be doing in 2009. CBA President Bill Walters made an appearance, his first at a Seniors Committee event since he became president. DBA Past President Mary Jo Gross made her annual apprearance, and long-time member Brooke Wunnicke, 90, graced the group with her presence and her long list of activities, including working part-time at Hall & Evans.

"To continue to devote time to bar association activities and community service (and to try to not get as stressed out during Broncos games — hopefully they will not be as inconsistent in 2009!)"— Ingrid Briant

My 2009 Resolution: To run a 3 hour 30 minute marathon in April!"— Dan Glasser

"First, because I’m just starting as a district court judge, I don’t want to screw up too much. I also resolve to finish a long essay on the proper judicial response to moral issues, such as civil rights."— Hon. Christopher Cross
