DBA President-Elect John Baker presents the $249,514 check to leaders of The Children's Hospital.
The Wheels of Justice team and DBA leaders presented a check for $249,514 to The Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, on Nov. 6, during an appreciation reception. In its third year, the Wheels of Justice team’s 201 riders participated in the 19th Annual Courage Classic, a three-day cycling tour. DBA President-Elect John Baker joined the doctors, administrators and staff of the Children’s Hospital in congratulating the team on its remarkable achievement. Team Captain Heather Purcell thanked all of the team’s sponsors for contributing $75,000 toward the team’s total and presented framed cycling jerseys to all sponsors at the $5,000 level and above. $15,000 Level: COPIC Companies; $10,000 Level: Pryor, Johnson, Carney, Karr & Nixon; $5,000 Level: Cooley Godward Kronish; Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe; Faegre & Benson; First Western Trust Bank; Hall & Evans. The 2009 Wheels of Justice campaign begins in February.
