Colorado Corporate Practice Conference is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10, 11, and 12, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The conference will feature of six, half-day programs focused on the issues that directly affect the practices of business law attorneys. Commercial Damages: From Engagement to Trial is Thursday, Dec. 18, 8:25 a.m.–4:45 p.m. The program will use a case-study format of a claim for commercial damages relating to a medical equipment design and manufacturing entity. A select group of attorneys and Business Valuation and Forensic Litigation Service experts will present throughout the program, beginning with a discussion of the engagement considerations through discovery and ending with commentary from a judicial view. Private Equity: Down But Not Out, Waiting for the Next Opportunity is Friday, Dec. 19, 8 a.m.–4:15 p.m. This program will discuss the changes to private equity deals and what to do with the old ones. Private equity opportunities and deals are not dead. Now, they come in a different form and opportunity. Come and find opportunities opened in distressed assets and debts. Discover new players, new opportunities and new structures in the game. Presented by private equity executives, investment bankers and experienced private equity attorneys. David Bost runs a tutoring program for inner-city children attending Dora Moore Elementary School (9th and Corona in Denver).
