A crowd of nearly 200 enjoyed the Legal Aid Foundation’s 14th Annual Wine Tasting on July 17, hosted by the DBA Young Lawyers Division. Attendees tasted 24 kinds of wine and enjoyed bluegrass music, while demonstrating their support for LAF’s mission to promote equal access to civil justice for Colorado’s most vulnerable residents. The event, at Mattie’s in Denver, was a celebration of LAF’s successful 2007–08 Campaign for Justice and especially its 2008 Associates Campaign, which raised $30,000 for legal services in a little over one month.

The Toothfairy has Arrived!
More than nine large boxes of toothbrushes, seven boxes of toothpaste, three boxes of floss and approximately $1,100 in cash were donated to benefit Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND). People donated from June 23–27 to support KIND, which is the country’s oldest dental charity, founded in 1912. It helps meet the needs of underserved children. CAN committee chairs Michelle Ferguson and Nike Fleming would like to thank all 50 local law firms and businesses that participated for their generous support.
