Bar Association Celebrity Grillers Seen at bd’s mongolian barbeque!

An evening of hot grilling turned into a cool $303 bucks in tip donations for the Colorado Bar Foundation and the Mississippi Bar Foundation. Working their magic on the grill were CBA Immediate Past President David Lytle, DBA Immediate Past President Elsa Martinez Tenreiro, CBA/DBA Executive Director Chuck Turner, Colorado Trial Lawyer Association Executive Director John Sadwith, Colorado Indian Bar Association President Jerilyn Decoteau, Metro Volunteer Lawyers Director Dianne Van Voorhees and Colorado Bar Foundation Board Members Dick Scheurer and Charley Garcia. The fundraiser was created by Matthew Crouch, a CBA/DBA member and consummate volunteer, to help citizens in two states have access to justice through legal programs and services sponsored by the Bar Foundations. Special thanks to Dana Collier Smith of the Colorado Bar Foundation and Larry Houchins of the Mississippi Bar Foundation for their tremendous support.

Wheels of Justice Kick-off Party

The Wheels of Justice team, which has more than 200 members, hosted a kickoff party on May 13 to celebrate the team’s success in raising $314,000 in the past two years for The Children’s Hospital. The party also was happy to honor an 8-year-old girl, Allison Winn, who was diagnosed with the most common kind of pediatric brain cancer, medulloblastoma. Her father, Brian, thanked the members of the team and its leadership for helping his daughter and children like her.
