Kids, Kids & More Kids!

The DBA Community Action Network Snow Carnival was a big success, raising $25,000 for Children’s Outreach Project. The event on Feb. 7, at The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, included a raffle, silent auction, magician, balloon animalist and a face painter!

Right — Magician Bill Schmidt, a.k.a The Baffling Barrister, entertained the crowd with his amazing magic acts as children and adults looked on in amazement.

Winter Festival

The Winter Festival was Jan. 26 at the Denver Department of Human Services. The event provided gifts to Denver-area foster children, giving them an opportunity to celebrate the holidays. Donations of new sporting equipment, books, stuffed animals and toys were delivered by the truck load. More than 300 lawyers volunteered or donated, and over 200 children were given gifts.

And The Award Goes To ...

On Tuesday, Jan. 15, the 2007 Richard Marden Davis Award was presented to Holland & Hart partner Michael Carrigan at a dinner in his honor at the Brown Palace. The award is presented annually by Davis Graham & Stubbs, the Denver Bar Foundation and the Davis family to a young Denver lawyer under 40 who has combined excellence as a lawyer with civic, cultural, educational and charitable leadership in the tradition of Dick Davis early in his career.
