Left, Left, Left, Right, Left

The Denver Bar Association participated in the annual Veterans Stand-Down, an event that offers many services for homeless veterans, including benefits, medical, grooming, clothing, food and shelter services. DBA attorney and paralegal volunteers staffed a booth to answer homeless veterans’ legal questions and hand out legal resources. More than 200 volunteers worked to serve 400 homeless veterans. Thanks to those volunteers who staffed the Nov. 8 event.

And Then She Got Pinned!

BOG & ABA Battle It Out

The CBA Board of Governors meeting was held Nov. 10 in Colorado Springs. The agenda action item that generated the most discussion was a visit from American Bar Association representatives Bill Robinson, treasurer, and Hank White, executive director. They were on hand to discuss what role the ABA should have in defending local attacks on the judicial system. The CBA request for financial help from the ABA was declined.
