Grillers Raise Money for Bar Foundations
 |
The Colorado Bar Foundation and Louisiana Bar Foundation Summer Fundraiser at bd’s mongolian barbeque® raised $436 in griller tips on July 18. The money raised has been divided equally between the two foundations to help citizens of both states. The guest grillers were Chuck Turner, executive director of Colorado and Denver Bar Associations; Rick Poormon, Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbision and Lewis; James Foltmer, Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis, & Payne; DBA President Elsa Martinez Tenreiro; Asian Pacific American Bar Association President Annie Kao; Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey; DBA Past-President Mary Jo Gross; CBF members Dick Scheurer and Charles Garcia; Thompson Marsh Inn of Court President Vicki Johnson; Doyle Inn of Court President Judge Gerald Rafferty; and Bill Kelly, former Louisiana resident and attorney at Hale Friesen. The event was organized by Matthew Crouch of Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbision and Lewis. Thanks to all who attended.

Courage Classic
More than 200 bicycle riders joined the Wheels of Justice cycling team on a three day ride through the Rocky Mountains for the Courage Classic. The Courage Classic was July 21–23 and benefited Children’s Hospital.
