Colorado Real Estate Practice Course is every Tuesday from Sept. 12 to Nov. 21, 5:30–7 p.m., sponsored by CBA Real Estate Section. This is the 30th year that Willis Carpenter and Holly Hoxeng have taught this course. They offer an overview of real estate practices and non-practices, deeds, title insurance, financing and judicial foreclosures. Everything you need to know about Colorado Real Estate is covered in this 10-week course. Tuition is $375 for Real Estate Section members; $395 for CBA members; and $445 for non-members. Eighteen general credits, including four ethics.

Ethics is Sept. 15. One day — two great practical ethics programs. The morning program, "Ethical Marketing Skills For Lawyers" shows how to market your practice without violating any ethics rules. The afternoon program, "Client Service: Effective and Ethical" discusses how to create satisfied clients, develop business and avoid facing an ethics complaint. Take a day to build your practice and earn ethics credits. Tuition is $129 for each program for CBA members; and $159 for each program for non-members. Each program offers four general credits, including 3.5 ethics.

E-Discovery and Evidence Best Practices is Sept. 28. This covers what you need to know to protect yourself and your clients. Michael Arkfeld, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona, gives an extremely useful guide to an emerging and critical area of discovery. Participants also receive a copy of the acclaimed "Electronic Discovery and Evidence" treatise and "Best Practices Guide." Tuition is $199 for CBA members; and $249 for non-members. Four general credits.

Rocky Mountain Diversity Legal Career Fair Returns

The 2006 Rocky Mountain Diversity Legal Career Fair will be held Friday, Sept. 15, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., at the Renaissance Boulder Suites at Flatiron. This year marks the fourth year of the RMDLCF, the only event of its kind in the Rocky Mountain region since its inaugural session in 2003. The goal of the fair is to provide a forum for law firms, companies and public sector legal services organizations to meet and interview a diverse group of law students. Again this year, the RMDLCF will be open to students from any U.S. law school, with a Web-based system to post resumes and to schedule interviews and registration for prospective employers. In 2005, more than 100 law students from across the United States attended the fair to meet 35 employers, including law firms, federal agencies, private companies, and judges from the Colorado court system.

For more information about the RMDLCF, or for sponsorship availability, see or call Melissa Kulesa or Grace Kaufman at (303) 892-7377.
