You Be the Judge: High School Mock Trials

Mock Trial participants get a “real world” view of the
courtroom.

Judicial and attorney volunteers are needed to serve as presiding judges (currently sitting, former or retired judges and magistrates) and scoring panelists for high school mock trial teams at the Denver Regional Tournament Feb. 10–11. To volunteer for the regional tournament, contact Carolyn Gravit at (303) 824-5340 or cgravit@cobar.org.

Attorneys and judges also are needed to serve at the CBA High School Mock Trial State Tournament March 3–4 in Denver. To volunteer for the state tournament, contact Carolyn Ferber at (303) 824-5323 or cferber@cobar.org.


DBA Award Nominations

The prestigious DBA Awards will be presented at the DBA Annual Party on June 6, 2006.
The categories include:

Spread Cheer to Children

Volunteers prepared for an exciting Winter Festival 2005.


Winter Festival (formerly known as “Christmas in January”) is Jan. 14, 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m., at the Denver Department of Human Services, 1200 Federal Blvd. This event provides gifts to Denver-area foster children, giving them an opportunity to celebrate the holidays.
Interested in helping? Join the YLD on Thursday, Jan. 12, 6 p.m., at the DBA offices at 1900 Grant St., 9th floor, to sort toys.
