DBA–CLE for December

Killer Cross-Examination is Dec. 14, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. This program teaches how to dominate a courtroom by integrating cross-examination with every step of the trial process. Learn how to phrase questions to block witness evasions, create fact-sensitive sequences of
questions, psychologically dominate hostile witnesses, compel admissions on key points of your cross, and use a hostile witness’s own words to create devastating cross-examination. Tuition is $189 for Litigation Section members; $209 for CBA members; and $249 for non-members. Six general credits.

The CPA Expert in Litigation and Trial is Dec. 16, 8:25 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Have you ever wanted to know how to effectively use a CPA expert in litigation and trial? Find out how with: A View from the Bench and the Use of Expert Witnesses; Economic Damages; New Valuation Standards; Discovery and Pre-trial; Best Practices for an Expert Witness; and How to Present and How to Destroy. Tuition is $199 for Litigation Section and CPA Society members; $209 for CBA members; and $229 for non-members. Eight general credits.

23rd Annual National CLE Conference is Jan. 3–7, 2006, early morning and late afternoon schedule, at Snowmass Conference Center in Snowmass Village. Live programs will cover: civil litigation, criminal law, employee benefits, family law, health law, intellectual property, labor and employment, real estate/land use/environmental, and trusts and estates. This is a great opportunity to network with fellow attorneys from all over the country in one of the nation’s top-rated ski destinations. Tuition is $675. Mediation Training

The CBA’s basic mediation training program is Jan. 19, 20, 21, 27 and 28. This new 40-hour training program will provide participants with the basic skills and knowledge for beginning a career as a mediator, and learning new tools to enhance mediation skills. Developed by the CBA ADR Section, the program is designed to meet the 40-hour training standards approved by the CBA and the Colorado Council of Mediation Organizations.
