Jennifer M. McCallum was awarded the Outstanding Business Woman of the Year Award in the Professional Services Category by the Denver Business JournalAnne Castle was a finalist in the professional category; Barbara Kelley was a finalist in the real estate category.

James E. Bye, partner at Holme Roberts & Owen, was honored by the Arthritis Foundation at its "Evening of Stars" tribute dinner.

Immigration attorney Jeff Joseph was elected to the American Immigration Lawyers Association National Board of Governors for a one-year term. He continues to serve on the National Liaison Committee to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Headquarters.

Nov. 1 is the 50th anniversary of the date when John Gilbert Graham placed a bomb in his mother’s luggage, killing 44 people on board flight 629. Tuesday, Nov. 1 is a "Book Beat Luncheon" at the Denver Press Club with attorney Andrew J. Field, whose new book, Mainliner Denver – the Bombing of Flight 629 covers the tragic event.

Barbara L. Roberts passed away on July 11. She received her J.D. from the University of Denver in 1982 and practiced probate law for 23 years. She was active in the Jeffco Action Center, Goodwill Industries and Zonta International.
