Did you know?
The Denver Bar Association Legal Services Committee provides a number of pro se legal information clinics such as, Doing Your Own Divorce, Small Claims and its Collections Process, and Bankruptcy. The most recent clinics included a series of informational legal topics for the Hispanic population that cover topics of education, consumer rights and public benefits as they relate to immigration issues.
The DBA Legal Services Committee also is responsible for other legal services activities such as Lawline 9, participation in the People’s Fair and the Veteran’s Stand Down, as well as pro bono CLE training for attorneys.
For more information about how you can get involved with this committee, or become a volunteer for any of these legal services programs, contact Carolyn Ferber at (303) 824-5323.

You CAN (and did)!
The Community Action Network Committee’s Toothbrush Drive was an incredible success again this year, tripling the donations from years past.
Kids in Need of Dentistry received more than $700 in cash donations from Bar Association members (you!). In addition, more than 1,000 usable toothbrushes and upwards of 500 containers of dental floss were also received, and hundreds of tubes of kid’s toothpaste poured in. Waterpik donated nearly 100 electric toothbrushes.
The DBA’s efforts will serve more than 1,000 kids in the Denver metro area. KIND will use the toothbrushes at their health fairs and clinics, as well as in their partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Denver.
