Wine, Food, Music and More . . .

The Legal Aid Foundation will host its 11th annual wine/beer tasting event on Oct. 21, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at the Denver Athletic Club. Join friends and colleagues and enjoy great food, wine, beer, live music and a silent auction. For more information or for tickets, call (303) 863-9544.

"Wow" That looks Delicious!

The Community Action Network’s (CAN) Third Annual “Desserts and Delights” auction is Nov. 12 at the Warwick Hotel, 1776 Grant St., 5:30–8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

The event will benefit Work Options for Women (WOW), a non-profit organization that trains low-income women to find employment in the food services industry, and to be competitive in today’s labor markets.
CAN is asking for donations—baked goods or “delights,” gift certificates, sporting event tickets and other items for the auction. If you have something to contribute, contact Kari Brandt at (303) 860-1115 or, ASAP. CAN will arrange for pick-up of any items that are too large to mail.




Law Suit Days!

YLD’s annual “Law Suit Days” are Oct. 13 & 14. Donations will be taken on the steps of the City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St., 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
