by CBA Historian David Erickson

On April 10, 1914, a group of 24 young Denver lawyers, all engaged in the active practice of law, organized The Junior Law Club. Within the first year, the name was changed to The Law Club. The objects of the club included:

". . . to associate . . . reputable members of the Bar . . . for the discussion of legal subjects, present or proposed legislation, and legal ethics; to maintain an active interest in the Denver Bar Association; to co-operate in the encouragement and maintenance of a high standard of legal ethics among the members of the Bar . . ."

The first president was Douglas A. Roller.
