Family Law Court
Metro Volunteer Lawyers, MVL, has set dates for the Family Law Court Program in the Denver District Court for 2001. This program assists indigent clients with uncontested dissolution of marriage and allocation of parental responsibility cases. On the scheduled date, the volunteer attorney represents the client for their permanent orders hearing only, avoiding a long-term commitment, but still providing needed legal counsel. Family Law Court for Denver County meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. For more information or specific dates, call Tony Damon at (303) 866-9375. See page 13 in this issue for a first-hand account of the Family Law Court experience. 2000/2001 DBA Nominating Committee Keeping in mind the diversity of the membership, the Nominating Committee chooses candidates to run for DBA offices.
