Chris Little Receives Davis Award ![]() For Commitment to community and mock trial participation The 2002 recipient of the Richard Marden Davis Award is Christopher B. Little, a shareholder with Montgomery Little & McGrew.
The award is presented annually by Davis Graham & Stubbs, the Denver Bar Foundation and the Davis family to " . . . a Denver lawyer under the age of 40, who has combined excellence as a lawyer with creative, civic, cultural, educational and charitable leadership in the tradition of Richard Marden Davis at that stage in his career." Little has contributed many volunteer and leadership hours to both the legal community and the wider community. He chaired the DBA’s Community Concerns Committee, which does outreach such as tutoring underprivileged children and aiding the elderly homeless and disadvantaged. For years, Chris has led coat, food and book drives. He currently chairs the Colorado Bar’s Public Law Education Committee, which is responsible for the annual mock trial competition for high schools in Colorado. He has a long list of activities to his credit. Also at the ceremony, Donald Hoagland of Davis Graham & Stubbs, was given a special Davis "emeritus" award for his long-standing commitment to the community. Richard Davis’ family and law firm, Davis Graham & Stubbs, established this award in 1992 to honor Davis’ belief that great lawyers should be professional and community leaders. For almost 50 years, Davis devoted himself to the profession and the community. He served as president of the Denver Bar Association in 1959, and he played key leadership roles in the Colorado Public Expenditures Council, the Museum of Natural History, the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, the Denver Rotary Club, the Denver Art Museum and other organizations. Last year’s recipient of the Richard Marden Davis Award was attorney Richard L. Gabriel. Back | ||||||||
