Cash donations payable to KIND are appreciated.

Disaster Response Training Day

On Dec. 9, the DBA Community Action Network sponsored a new program for the CBA, in an effort to help Colorado communities recover from disasters and emergencies.

More than 70 members attended the day-long program, that included topics such as terrorism, fire, available legal resources and true-life stories.

Those who attended the program agreed to provide pro bono legal information to the public during disasters for at least one year.

Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run

Running. Walking. Anything to get the heart pumping and feel good outside. The first Denver Bar Association Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run is on Saturday, June 7, and your support is critical.

Lead a team from your firm for this 5K run through Denver’s City Park. Walkers and children are invited to participate in a 1K fun walk after the race. Funds raised through the Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run help support the lifesaving research and educational programs of the American Heart Association. Last year’s AHA’s Heart Walk attracted more than 3,000 participants and raised nearly $300,000. The DBA and the Community Action Network are looking toward a more successful event this year with the Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run.

With heart disease as the number one killer of both men and women, funds raised by the legal community will support medical research and community education in the fight against heart disease and stroke. The goal for the event is to raise $350,000.

Become a supporter and run or walk to fight against heart disease and stroke.

Contact Arlaina McDaniel for information on getting a team started at (303) 369-5433 or
