Collateral Attack wins DBA Football Championship
After completing the regular season with a 6-1 record, the team Collateral Attack won the football league championship on Nov. 9, 2003, by defeating The Untouchables, 42-13.
This year, the league featured 10 teams composed of lawyers and law students from both the University of Denver and the University of Colorado Law Schools.
In the fall of 1968, the DBA’s Lawyer's Football League was born. The league was the brainchild of young Denver lawyer John Madden III.
Each year the league’s champion is awarded the Madden Trophy in tribute to John Madden III, the league’s founder. Madden will present the trophy to the league champion at the beginning of next season in September.
